
A New York Times News Service story published Friday on Page A1 incorrectly reported that Sen. Barack Obama referred to the “failed presidency of George W. Bush” in accepting the Democratic Party's presidential nomination. Although that was in his prepared remarks, he changed the reference to “failed policies” when he delivered the speech.
The Union-Tribune regrets the error.
